Kareli Rodriguez
Former professional and collegiate soccer player from Santa Rosa with over a decade of coaching and competitive experience. She starred at Montgomery High, SRJC, and San Jose State, later playing semi-pro with California Storm and professionally in Switzerland. Kareli grew up in Santa Rosa United, winning a national championship and representing the Cal North ODP State Team.
Amanda LeCave
Windsor native and Pepperdine University standout, Amanda has over six years of coaching experience with Sonoma County Premier. She competed with Santa Rosa United, played varsity at Windsor High, and earned MVP and Co-Offensive Player of the Year honors at Pepperdine. Amanda is passionate about mentoring young athletes, developing confident leaders, and has been honored as Sonoma County Female Athlete of the Year. Katie Rohrer – Softball Program Director
Katie Rohrer is a dynamic force in youth softball with a strong background in both competitive play and high-level college coaching. With experience as a collegiate athlete and leader of travel ball teams, Katie has a track record of developing strong female athletes and building team culture. Her leadership style blends discipline, positivity, and empowerment, making her a role model for young players and a driving force behind Apex’s growing softball program.

Gabe Gelsman - Baseball Head Coach and Lead Trainer
A lifelong student, fan, and player of the game, Coach Gabe Gelsman brings a fresh, high-energy perspective to Apex Athletics. A four-year varsity player and team captain at Sonoma Academy, Gabe’s leadership on the field quickly evolved into a passion for mentorship and development.
While studying at Coastal Carolina University—home of the 2025 College World Series runner-ups—Gabe immersed himself in the game beyond the lines. He gained hands-on experience in broadcast production, sports marketing, field operations, and film analysis. He also coached competitive travel ball teams and served as a tournament official at The Ripken Experience, one of the nation’s premier youth baseball destinations.
Now back in Sonoma County, Gabe is dedicated to helping young athletes sharpen their skills, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for the game. For those looking to practice, our batting cages in Santa Rosa offer the perfect environment for training.
